I rarely take naps these days, and yet I would have expected the inverse. I have two kids now, which means less sleep and busier days. On top of that my gym schedule hasn't slackened at all. 5 days a week for at least an hour[^1] each time. I've been at it for 7 months now and you know what? I feel great. I've heard people say that energy is a great reason to work out. Not to get slim or to get jacked, but because your body adapts to the demands of the physical workload and gives you more energy on a daily basis. More energy you can channel into getting this done outside the gym as well. Anecdotally this is the case. _The gym pundits were right_, you will have more energy if you work out regularly. [^1]: NOTE: I'm doing weight training, so this schedule has unfortunately not trimmed my waist. Still working on dropping fat.
